LegitScript Certification

An Engineered Approach to LegitScript Certification

Successful certification begins well before an application is submitted. Our process is designed to identify potential problems early, organise complex compliance requirements, and create a clear path from certification readiness through good processes and communication. Rather than reacting to questions after an application is already under review, we work to address foreseeable issues beforehand.

01/ Stage

Diagnostic & Gap Analysis

We begin with a detailed review of your organisation, website, business model, clinical workflow, and supporting infrastructure. Depending on your business, our assessment may include:

Typical Duration: 1–2 Weeks
  • Professional and business licensing
  • EEA and UK jurisdictions in which services are offered
  • Provider and prescriber credentials
  • Telehealth consultation and prescribing protocols
  • Pharmacy and fulfilment relationships
  • Website disclosures
  • Medication and treatment claims
  • Advertising language
  • Privacy and data practices
  • Patient terms and policies
  • Ownership and affiliated businesses
  • Domain and website information
  • Payment and transaction practices

The purpose of this stage is simple: identify potential certification obstacles before they become application problems.

02/ Stage

Documentation & Certification Preparation

Once the initial review is complete, we develop a structured certification preparation plan. We help collect, organise, review, and prepare the materials necessary to support your application. Depending on the organisation, this may include:

Typical Duration: 2–3 Weeks
  • Business registration records
  • Healthcare licences
  • Provider credentials
  • Prescriber information
  • Jurisdictional licensing documentation
  • Clinical and telemedicine protocols
  • Pharmacy partner information
  • Fulfilment documentation
  • Privacy and data-security policies
  • Website policies and disclosures
  • Patient-service documentation
  • Advertising and marketing disclosures
  • GDPR and international documentation when applicable

We also review the public-facing website, because certification is not based solely on documents submitted with the application. What your patients see online matters. Website claims, treatment descriptions, pharmacy disclosures, provider information, available service areas, pricing representations, and other public information should align with your actual operations and applicable requirements.

03/ Stage

Application Management & LegitScript Liaison

Once your organisation is prepared, we help manage the LegitScript application and review process. Certification reviews frequently involve follow-up questions, clarification requests, or requests for additional supporting information. Instead of leaving your team to interpret those requests independently, we help determine:

Typical Review Period: 3–6+ Weeks
  • What the reviewer is requesting
  • Why the information may be required
  • Which documentation should be provided
  • Whether website changes should be made
  • Whether operational clarification is necessary
  • How to respond clearly and completely

Our goal is to keep the application organised and moving while reducing avoidable back-and-forth caused by incomplete information or unclear responses. Actual review times vary based on business complexity, application completeness, jurisdiction, reviewer questions, required remediation, and LegitScript's review timeline.

04/ Stage

Renewal Assistance

We manage your annual LegitScript renewals, updating website content, policies, and disclosures to keep pace with evolving EU and UK healthcare regulations and maintain certified status across the jurisdictions in which you operate.

Certification should not be treated as a one-time project. Change is constant in healthcare:

Those changes can create compliance issues at renewal if they are not reviewed carefully.
